This series explores the multiple layers society and its institutions force upon us, both directly and indirectly, and the need and work required to get rid of them, as in the end, we are all Human. Ingrained upon us are stances on gender, race, religion, role expectations, culture, tradition, history, family formations, and so many more.
As such, it is of vital importance to put in the work and try to peel these layers away, as the zippers do symbolically in the pieces, for deep inside we are all people striving to do our best.
MEDIUM
The pieces in this series are all large scale photographs of body painted models, mainly wearing colorful wigs, performing on a variety of mixed media custom made sets- involving mostly resin installations amongst other techniques.
